CPS Seeking Community Member for District's Audit Committee

Cincinnati Public Schools is looking for a community member to join the district's Audit Committee.

The role of the CPS Audit Committee is to assist the Board of Education in ensuring that both external and internal audit functions and other accountability matters receive adequate oversight.

According to CPS Board Policy No. 6835, the Audit Committee consists of the three members of the Board of Education's Finance Committee and no more than ten people from the community who are not CPS employees. Currently, the school board is seeking one community member who will serve a three-year term.

The Audit Committee meets every other month from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at CPS' Education Center, 2651 Burnet Avenue, for six required meetings per year.
